On March 1st, the U.S. and German billionaires’ ‘news’-medium, Insider (which is controlled by KKR, Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts, a regular at the secret annual Bilderberg group meetings, where KKR’s Henry Kravis and David Petraeus are regular members and where Kravis’s wife Marie-Josée has served on the Steering Committee), bannered “Marjorie Taylor Greene was one of 2 House Republicans to vote against mourning the 50,000 people killed in the Turkey-Syria earthquakes” and sub-headed:
Marjorie Taylor Greene on Monday voted against mourning the 50,000 dead in the Turkey-Syria earthquake.
She and her GOP colleague Thomas Massie were the two lawmakers who voted no on the matter.
The resolution also honored humanitarian aid workers who’ve helped earthquake victims.
On the same day, Antiwar dot com, which is a pacifist site and therefore has no billionaire funders, headlined “House Overwhelmingly Approves Resolution to Maintain Syria Sanctions After Earthquake: Only Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) voted against the resolution” and opened:
The House this week voted overwhelmingly in favor of a resolution to maintain sanctions on Syria following a devastating earthquake that has killed at least 5,900 people in the country, The Cradle reported on Wednesday.
The resolution was introduced by Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) and received 51 cosponsors. It passed in a vote of 414-2. Only Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) voted against the measure.
The resolution calls for the Biden administration to remain committed to “implementing the Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act of 2019,” a law that imposed crippling sanctions on Syria that are designed to prevent the country from rebuilding after years of war.
The resolution said that the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was “falsely claiming” US sanctions impeded the aid response to the earthquake. But it’s a fact that US sanctions hurt the relief effort, something that has been detailed by the head of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and UN experts.
Whereas the billionaires’ ‘news’-report focused on the bill’s propaganda that this proposed legislation was “mourning” for those Syrian victims who are dead and dying, the non-billionaires’ news-report focused on the proposed legislation’s continuation of the anti-Syria sanctions that are blocking aid to those victims and that are thus increasing the numbers of the dead and dying there.
Whereas the billionaires’ ‘news’ is portraying this proposed legislation as being sympathetic to the Syrian victims, the real news-report is portraying it as being what it actually is, and as being voted for by 99.5% of the members of the U.S. House of Representatives.
The U.S. Senate is equally as neoconservative and bloodthirsty as is the House. On matters where there is virtual unanimity amongst U.S.-and-allied billionaires, there is also virtual unanimity amongst the members of the U.S. Congress, both Parties, real bipartisan agreement on those issues. Those are the issues that the billionaires are in agreement about. Similarly, on those same issues — ones that both Democratic Party billionaires and Republican Party billionaires agree on — there is little-to-no change in the actual policies that are being pursued by different U.S. Presidents regarding those issues. For example, Obama’s, Trump’s, and Bidens’s, actual policies on Syria — the primacy of the demand for regime-change there in order for the U.S. Government to install a leader whom U.S.-and-allied billionaires support — has remained unchanged.
There is, however, considerable disagreement between Democratic Party billionaires versus Republican Party billionaires regarding which judges to hire: Republican Party billionaires back fascist or extreme right-wing (pro-aristocratic or even theocratic) — or as Mussolini would describe them with respect, “corporationist” — judges, whereas Democratic Party billionaires back moderate right-wing, or “conservative” (but hypocritical about it — otherwise called “liberal”) judges.
But on foreign affairs and ‘national security’ issues, there has been virtual unanimity ever since 1945, in favor of producing a globally all-encompassing U.S. empire, control over the entire world. This particular vote in Congress was continuing America’s war since 2011 to capture Syria. Of course, it’s backed by virtually everyone in Congress and in the White House, regardless of Party, because it’s backed by the people who fund their careers. And that’s a reality which is kept secret — never mentioned (much less documented) — everywhere (in order to protect the local billionaires, from any accountability).
So: even after a 7.8 earthquake hit northern Syria (and much of Turkey) on February 6th, over 99% of the members of the U.S. House of ‘Representatives’ (representatives of America’s billionaires) want America’s crippling sanctions against the residents there to be continued, but the billionaires’ ‘news’-media pretend the opposite and that the issue here is ‘humanitarian’ ‘mourning’ of the dead (and that two members of the U.S. House had voted against that).
