It’s impossible for both of them to be right: this interpretation of events is either ‘disinformation’ or the truth, there’s no middle ground. “EU vs. Disinfo”, the self-described “flagship project of the European External Action Service’s East Stratcom Task Force” (the EEAS being the self-described “EU’s diplomatic service”) that functions […]
This week, Twitter was keen to share the news about its new arrangement with The Associated Press and Reuters “to expand our efforts to identify and elevate credible information” on its platform. The company reiterates its commitment that people using its service are able to “easily find reliable information” hoping […]
“EU vs. Disinfo”, which functions as the infowar outlet of the European External Action Service’s (EEAS) East Stratcom Task Force, inadvertently debunked its most important propaganda point about Russia by drawing attention to the fact that publicly financed RT’s Editor-In-Chief Margarita Simonyan has the professional freedom to voice views that […]
On the night of 27 and 28 July, Google blocked the YouTube accounts of a number of Russian media outlets (the Tsargrad TV channel, the Double-Headed Eagle Society, the anti-abortion group “Za Zhizn!”, Geopolitika.ru) and individuals’ email accounts. We are beginning to see the warnings of the end of a capitalist economy that has led to massive global debts among countries and individuals due to a skewed system of inequality or rather a system of equality that favors the greedy and powerful group(s) who aspire total global control through their ownership of media, wealth, fear and misinformation.

It is under the pretext of curbing fake news that censorship and a transparent micromanagement of the media space is being introduced in the West.
While pretending to protect Turkey, Western propaganda hides its calls for help. The problem is by no means the clashes with the Russian army at Idleb, nor the fate of the families of jihadists, it is much more serious. The world is a cruel place. It is not by blinding ourselves that we will be able to come to the aid of threatened populations.

High-profile media campaigns around so-called fake news in the political sphere are just the tip of an iceberg that, in many ways, is hiding what it’s really about and the objectives of those actually involved. The fake […]
Future campaigns will pick not just the issues and slogans a candidate should support, but also the candidate who should champion those issues. Temporal trends for different voter blocks might be compared to genetic and medical data to understand regional shifts in political leanings, thereby illuminating methods for slicing and dicing audiences in favor of or against a specified agenda.
In the context of fighting “fake news”, the UK is trying to improve the operational efficiency of its analysts by forcing them to discern between disinformation and misinformation instead of just lumping together whatever politically relevant narratives that they come across as “fake news” for convenience’s sake.
